耳成山は、畝傍山(うねびやま)や天香具山(あめのかぐやま)と共に、大和三山の一つに数えられています。

耳成山公園駐車場は、古池(ふるいけ)の手前にあります。料金は無料ですが、利用時間は午前七時から午後七時までです。
耳成山観光トイレの向かい側に、耳成山の登山口があります。
耳成山の登山口の入口付近は、スロープ状になっています。
石段を上ると、耳成山口神社(みみなし やまぐち じんじゃ)の鳥居があります。
鳥居をくぐって、地肌が剥き出しの坂を登ります。雨の日はぬかるんで歩き難いので注意が必要です。
五分ほど坂を登ると、耳成山口神社の境内に入ります。
境内に手水舎(ちょうず しゃ)があります。
手水鉢(ちょうずばち)には、耳成山口神社、水盤(すいばん)、享保14年(1729)11月と彫刻されていました。
手水舎の向かって左側に、稲荷神社の遥拝所のような場所があります。
遥拝所の左側に、耳成山口神社の拝殿(はい でん)に続く石段があります。
耳成山口神社の御祭神は、高御産巣日神(たかみ むすび の かみ)と大山祇神(おおやまつみ の かみ)です。拝殿の中には、数多くの絵馬や算額(さん がく)が奉納されています。
拝殿の右側に、稲荷神社があります。
稲荷神社の右側に、白龍神社(はくりゅう じんじゃ)があります。
拝殿の左側に金毘羅神社(こんぴら じんじゃ)があり、その左側に山頂への道が伸びています。
残念ながら山頂への道は、あまり整備されていません。
耳成山の山頂です。標高は139.7mなので、あまり苦労せずに登れます。
山頂付近から、大和三山・天香具山を望みます。
山頂には三角点と石碑があります。石碑には、この地で第122代・明治天皇が日本陸軍の大演習を行ったと記されていました。
山頂の反対側は小さな公園になっていて、切株がベンチのように置いてあります。
耳成山口神社まで戻り、耳成山の北側に続く道を歩きます。
道の途中で、大和三山・畝傍山を見る事が出来ました。
未知の途中に階段があるので降りていきます。
階段を降りていくと瓦屋根が見えてきます。
耳成井(みみなし い)です。平安時代に弘法大師・空海(こうぼうだいし・くうかい)が掘ったという伝説がある事から、大師井戸(たいし いど)とも呼ばれています。
井戸は今でも水を湛えていますが、飲用する場合は一旦煮沸する必要があります。
井戸から少し離れた所にも祠があります。
駐車場から遠い事もあって、ここから山頂を目指す人はあまり居ません。
